If you order an additional power adapter, then you can use one to run the unit, and use another one for charging the battery. Can only use with battery? You can use the ac plugged in as long as you want, Or you can use it with a portable battery for 5 hours, And it takes 4-5 hours to charge a battery fully, You can also charge the battery with solar panels, in-car charging.
